The network that holds no record of who talks to whom.
Avano builds the infrastructure for private communication: relays that keep nothing, a directory that is signed rather than trusted, an identity nobody issues, and a protocol others can run. A messenger, company networks, sovereign deployments and a developer platform run on it. The company cannot see your users, and neither can anyone who asks the company.
- No accounts, anywhere
- Nothing written to a disk
- Open source, open protocol
Infrastructure designed to hold as little as possible.
Most networks protect what is said. Avano's also protects who said it to whom, by never collecting that in the first place. Two machines serve today; the rest is built and says where it stands.
What runs on it.
The messenger first. Then the things a messenger alone cannot be: a company's own network, a sovereign one, a platform for programs, a protocol for others.
The messenger
Text, voice, calls, video, groups, channels: everything you expect, on a foundation that keeps no account, no number and no list. Features · Security
Business and Teams
A company's own relay for its own people, reserved by seats the company issues blind. It controls the machine and still cannot read a word. Teams
Sovereign deployments
A ministry, a newsroom, an institution running the open code with its own keys on its own hardware. The company holds nothing in it. Sovereign
Channels and communities
One to many, with readers that are a list on nobody's phone and no server. Channels
Bots, cards and identity for developers
A contact can be a program; a program can send cards; an account can prove itself to your service from the bytes. Developers
Private discovery
Be found by an email, a phone number or a username, with the address book never leaving the phone. Discovery
Six doors, one network.
A messenger with no number
Create an identity in seconds, talk to anyone, and let nobody keep the list. The app
Your own network
The open code on your keys and your hardware; we hold nothing. Sovereign deployments
Run a relay
From the published source, in your jurisdiction, holding nothing. The operator kit
A standard others can implement. A build others can check.
The protocol is specified construction by construction from the code, and sixteen known-answer vectors computed by the shipping code pin it, so a second implementation is checked byte for byte. Every push to the source carries a signed record; the build is being made reproducible, finding by finding, in the open.
We built a company around not knowing you.
No advertising, nothing sold that changes your traffic, and essentially nothing that could be sold, because the data does not exist. Small on purpose, and we say where that is a weakness. The messenger is free, and cover traffic is free with it.
Be among the first.
The signup form is not connected yet, so it stores nothing: write to [email protected] and we will send you the first builds, or tell us which network you want to run. That is the only thing we will ever do with your address.
